Many registered
charitable organizations have decided to establish Agency
Endowment Funds or Managed Funds at The Community Foundation
of Greater Kingston.
Agency and
Managed Funds provide non-profit organizations with ensured
long-term financial stability. Entrusted to the Community
Foundation, they benefit from the Foundation's investment
expertise. Generally, Agency Funds are established by the
organization itself with a larger gift, and donations of
any size are welcomed after the initial investment. Most
organizations then direct donors who are interested in supporting
the organization long-term to the Foundation, where they
may make a donation. Charitable receipts for these donations
are issued by the Foundation. With most funds, the return
the Agency Fund generates is distributed on a yearly basis
to be used by the organization. These funds are typically
unrestricted.

Proven
and Professional Administration of Funds
The Community Foundation provides proven, accredited
professional administration and management of Agency Funds.
Our Investment Committee, Investment Manager and Foundation
staff ensure that funds are handled diligently to ensure
maximum profitability.
Donor
Relations & Stewardship
Organizations take advantage of the Community Foundation's
outstanding donor services. Funds can be established to
accept additional donations of any size from donors, and
organizations appreciate the Foundation's ability to handle
other complicated philanthropic transactions, such as gifts
of life insurance, bequests, etc.
Low-Cost
Fund Management
Agency Funds at the Foundation can save organizations
thousands of dollars a year in bookkeeping, investment manager
and donor relation staff time. A very small administrative
fee is deducted by the Foundation off of the return, standard
practice among community foundations for high quality investment
management.
Reputation
& Renown
Organizations with Agency Funds at the Foundation
enjoy the reputation of Kingston's award-winning Community
Foundation and the renown of our donor services, community
relations and professional advisor connections.
