The
Community Foundation
of Greater Kingston is guided by its mission to "strengthen
and enhance the quality of life in our community."
Our granting programs are reflective of this fundamental
mission.
Since
its incorporation in 1995, the Community Foundation has
connected donors to causes that matter through our grantmaking
programs and initatives. We have distributed more than
$4,000,000 to support the emerging and existing needs
in our community, identified by our eight grantmaking
sectors.
The Community
Foundation administers a wide variety of endowments,
including: Donor Advised, Donor Designated, Field-of-Interest
and Scholarships. Over 70 funds have been established
at the Foundation from which grants are made, with current
assets of over $12 million.
Fifteen organizations
have created an Agency Fund under the umbrella of the
Community Foundation, benefiting from our investment
expertise and position within the community.
Pages in the
"Grantseekers" section have been designed for
local non-profit charitable organizations seeking funding
from the Foundation or information about establishing an
Agency Fund.
